National Vocational
Qualifications (NVQs) are qualifications for work. They assessed by
a candidate's competence to perform a specific job. NVQ system has been
running successfully in the UK for more than 10 years now. NVQs are based
on standards, defined after carefully studying the skills and knowledge
required for an employee at work. The NVQ system is now being applied
various countries all over the world. The NVQs are managed by the Qualifications
Curriculum Authority (QCA) in the
UK and by supervised by the Ministry of Labour and/or Vocational Training
in most of the countries.

NVQs are designed by industry
lead bodies - organisations led by employers who know exactly what skills
are needed to do each job well. As a result, NVQs really meet employer's
requirements. This means, when a NVQ holder is employed, the employer is
guaranteed that he/she can work to standards employers expects. |

I am a fully qualified NVQ:
- Assessor (D32/D33)
- Internal Verifier (D34)
- APL (Achievement by Prior Learning ) Advisor (D36)
- Centre Co-ordinator
- Trainer
I can help training institutions to implement NVQs by
putting systems in place, training the staff, compiling the quality
manual/centre portfolio, getting approved centre status to conduct NVQ training
and act as an assessor, internal verifier and APL advisor.
